SB 1 Primary Infrastructure Targets
Since the 2017 passage, SB 1 has provided additional funding for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the State Highway System, with a focus on four primary asset classes: pavement, bridges and tunnels, drainage culverts, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Legislation requires that monitoring and reporting occur to communicate progress towards the goals associated with each asset class. Goals are defined to ensure these critical infrastructure components are kept in good working order and remain accessible and safe for California travelers
